How do I enable cookies?

In order for your logged in session on our site to work properly, our application will need to write several cookies to your machine. However, Smarthinking does not write any cookies that last longer than the life of a particular logged in session you have with our site.

Internet Explorer (7+):

  1. Click on the “Tools” menu and select “Internet Options.
  2. Click on the “Privacy” tab at the top. Make sure the level adjuster is set to “Medium” and click on “Sites.”
  3. Under “Address of Website, type in “*.smarthinking.com” and click “Allow.”
  4. Click “Ok” to close this page.
  5. Click “Ok” to save the settings in Internet Options.
  6. If Smarthinking is still open in Internet Explorer, refresh the page to continue.

 

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Click on the “Tools” menu and select “Options...”
  2. Click on the “Privacy” tab at the top.
  3. Set "Firefox will:" to "Use Custom settings for history".
  4. If "Accept cookies from sites" is checked, it will accept cookies from all sites. If you want to choose which sites to allow cookies for, first uncheck this setting.
  5. Click "Exceptions...".
  6. In the "Address of the web site:" enter "*.Smarthinking.com" (without quotes).
  7. Click “Allow” to close this page.
  8. Click “Close”.
  9. Click “Ok”.
  10. If Smarthinking is still open in the browser, refresh the page to continue.

Safari:  

  1. Click on the “Safari” menu and select “Preferences.”
  • Next to “Accept Cookies” select “Always.”
  • Close the window.
