Do I need to enable JavaScript?

JavaScript is a language that web sites use to assist in processing and displaying information. The Smarthinking application uses JavaScript in many areas and you must have JavaScript enabled to use Smarthinking services.

To enable JavaScript:

Microsoft Internet Explorer (7+):

  1. Click on the “Tools” menu and select “Internet Options.”
  2. Click on the “Security” tab at the top and click on “Custom Level…” button at the bottom of the page. 
  3. Scroll down until you can see the “Scripting” section (located near the bottom of the list.) Under “Active Scripting” select “Enable.” Click the “Ok” button to save.
  4. A Warning sign will appear asking if you are sure you want to change the security settings for this zone. Click “Yes.”
  5. If Smarthinking is still open in Internet Explorer, refresh the page to enable JavaScript.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Click on the “Tools” menu and select “Options...”
  2. Click on the “Content” tab at the top and check the “Enable JaveScript” checkbox.
  3. Click on the “OK” Button to close out this page and enable JavaScript.
  4. If Smarthinking is still open in Mozilla Firefox, refresh the page to enable JavaScript.

Safari: 

1.      Click on the “Safari” menu and select “Preferences.”

2.      Click on the “Security” tab at the top and select “Enable JavaScript.”

3.      Close the window.
